I don’t like villains whose motives are to be evil for the sake of evil. Good and evil are a point of view, and in my book, a villain should always feel like they’re doing the “right thing.” It’s what makes Magneto great and also why I like Lex Luthor. To Lex, Superman is the bad guy. From his point of view, Superman is an alien imposing his will on a foreign planet. He believes that earth matters should be resolved by humans and not aliens.

Alexander “Lex” Luthor is a power-hungry billionaire, gifted scientist and inventor, business magnate, and Metropolis’s favorite charismatic philanthropist. He was even president that one time. As a supervillain, Lex has come into conflict with heroes other than his arch-nemesis Superman. He’s taken a few swings at Batman and other DC superheroes.

To symbolize Lex Luthor, who brought us such creations as Bizarro in the graphic novel mini-series Trinity by Matt Wagner, we put the LexCorp Industries logo on half the square and the emblem from his Warsuit on the other. It represents his duality as a megalomaniac businessman by day and supervillain by night.
