Gallbladder, named because my friend Candace said it looks like one (it doesn’t), is a shawl with a brand new construction that creates a unique shape that is incredible versatile and easy to wear and knit! It is designed in Knitcraft & Knittery’s amazing Sustainable Australian Merino and while it is designed in fingering weight yarn, the pattern is a recipe which allows you to use any amount of any weight of yarn to achieve this fun and ultra-wearable shape!

YARN
— 4 skeins (2 in each color) of Knitcraft & Knittery 100% Sustainable Australian Merino Wool (Fingering weight / 400 m // 437 yds per 100 g)
The pattern uses a percentage formula and therefore using more or less yarn is possible. Note that sample used 440 g of suggested yarn.
Shown in: Hazelnut Gelato & Cream
Kits for the shawl are available here: https://knitcraftandknittery.com/collections/new-products

NEEDLES & NOTIONS
— 3 mm // US 2.5 circular needles: 2 sets of needles with cable length of at least 100 cm // 40 in, or interchangeable needles with 2 cords (or size needed to achieve stated gauge)
— Tapestry needle
— Stitch Markers

SIZES/FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
As shawl is customizable, size will vary based on how much yarn you use
Note that sample uses more than suggested yarn
Sample used 440 g and was steam blocked and measures 180 cm // 71 in long x 80 cm // 31 in wide
Testers using 400 g achieved similar measurements with wet blocking

GAUGE
27 sts x 58 rows = 10 cm // 4 in in garter stitch on 3 mm // US 2.5 needles
Gauge above is the recommended gauge but the percentage system should work regardless of gauge

Pattern has been test knit and professionally tech edited.
