An any yarn any yardage shawl!

When my mom (affectionately known as “Gamma” to her grandchildren) asked for a simple shawl design that would work for a special skein of yarn, there were a couple of specifications she had in mind: it was to work with any yarn, it wouldn’t require a lot of counting, it was easy to memorize, and it could be made any size she wanted…
Gamma Ray is the result, and I hope you enjoy this “go-to” pattern as much as she does!

This pattern can be knit in any yarn at any gauge and knit to any size you like. Knit it big, knit it small, with a ruffle, without a ruffle… the choice is yours!
