This pattern is available exclusively in Sockupied, Fall 2011 issue and includes a four-minute video tutorial with Ann Budd. For these textured socks, Ann challenged herself to come up with a variety of knit-purl “Gansey” patterns that incorporated a rib component, which would increase elasticity and make the socks hug the legs and feet. In addition, she wanted to include a clock pattern—in this case, four-stitch cables—along the sides of the leg and instep.
