Two white squares are formed in Tunisian simple stitch to fit pillow form. The simple stitch gives a “waffle-like” appearance with distinct bars for the weaving.

With the coloured yarn, Swedish weaving (Huck weaving) is done on the simple stitch in a sort of a star pattern. Also the coloured yarn is used for a simple crossed stitch border in 4 rows. Then 8 tassels are formed & attached to the corners.

This book contains all information on the Tunisian simple stitch & has a diagram for the Weaving pattern, along with several pictures & “how-to’s”.

Very easy to construct, and all the elements are quite simple. Given the simple square shape, the pattern can be easily sized to fit any size pillow form.
