This cute hat is fun to make, and a delicious treat to wear. Slip stitch ribbing and slip stitching in the body make the hat warm and extra squishy -- it’s perfect for yarns that need a bit of breaking up to avoid color pooling, while creating a wonderfully smooshy fabric almost like brioche. Add a pom, and you have an ideal hat!

The Gardner Bay Beanie uses easy techniques: knitting in the round, slip stitch rib, slip stitch in the main body, and simple decreases.

The yarn used in this hat is Dragonfly Fibers Traveller DK in the colorway Horton Hears a Who. We carry it at Fairlight Fibers. Come see!
