The pattern calls for 2 skeins white Red Heart Soft Baby yarn (3-ply sport weight - 7 oz/198g) and 2 skeins ‘’Twinkle’’ (3-ply sport weight - 6 oz/170g). The blanket is made knitting TWO STRANDS of yarn at the same time on a large size 15 circular needle.

One can use any yarn weight to make this blanket, using the appropriate size needles and also make it any size : baby, toddler, child.

The written instructions are for BOTH a garter stitch and a stockinette stitch blanket using variegated yarn that gives very pretty diagonal lines throughout. An easy pattern which is nice to have. It works up quickly if using large needles and the fabric is light, stretchy and fluffy.
