Use this pattern to give your next any-gauge garter-stitch-like scarf project an undulating, understated wave! The subtle effect lends itself well to random scraps, which is what’s used for the sample swatch shown here, or self-striping yarns.

This pattern is only a few lines long, and the instructions provide cast-on numbers for scarves/wraps measuring 8(12.5,16.5)“/20(32, 42) cm wide.

Materials:

  • 600-1000 yards of light fingering-weight yarns or scraps (sample swatch shows handspun Malabrigo Yarn Nube in Solis and Juliespins Euro Fingering in Packham Pear)
  • 1 24” circular needle in US4/3.5mm, or size needed for your preferred gauge.
  • Tapestry needle
