2019 pattern updates: We’ve reformatted the pattern and added the option of lace at both ends.

Summer is waning and there is a chill in the air. It is the perfect time to be snuggled up on the couch in front of the fire with hot apple cider and my knitting. This shawl is perfect for those days of relaxing and unwinding.

Originally released as our Fall 2013 MKAL, this rectangular shawl is done in 2 colors of fingering weight yarn and worked from the side to side with the option of adding accent beads and a single button closure. A boldly, striped knit with some lacy details, it is relaxing to knit, but with enough variety to keep you thoroughly entertained.

Stunning String Studio has “Gateway to Fall” yarn kits in our favorite color combinations. You can find them here.
