In the pattern. I give you the choice of either Double Wrap & Turn Heel or Gusset Heel for this sock but you can, of course, use any other heel that suits you. I also use Fortissima Socka Reinforcing Yarn on the heels of wool socks and a strong cotton crochet thread for non-wool blends.

I used a 40” cable and knitted them 2-at-a-time … if you want to knit 2-at-a-time, I’d suggest a search of Ravelry, Knitty Magazine or YouTube to find directions.

I also use Judy’s Magic Cast-On for toe-up socks for the cast-on and Jeny’s Stretchy Bind-Off for the cuff bind-off.

SPECIAL THANKS to Sue for test knitting (the short leg version) and to Anastacia - anastaciaknits on Ravelry - for proofing & editing.
