♫ The Music ♫
Geese in the Bog is a traditional Irish jig ~ bouncy music that will lift your spirit no matter how cold the weather! The intricate interplay of notes in this tune is a perfect match for the cables in this hat!

This gorgeously cabled hat is knit in the round from the top down, beginning with an Emily Ocker Cast On (please see link for a picture tutorial). The four interwoven cable panels are flanked by irregular rope cables. Note the beautiful beginning to the closed-ring cables that is created by the increase method used in this pattern and how the cables flow into the ribbing.

If a deeper hat is desired, extra ribbing rounds can be worked before the bind off – this will, of course, require more than the stated yardage.

The knitter needs to be able to recognize knit and purl stitches to work the bind off. The pattern is charted with written directions for charts included in a separate PDF; each size has its own chart.
