This crochet cowl is called Gemelli (Italian for gemini) because
of its two sided fabric that offers two different personalities. I am also a Gemini, and I am always looking for versitle accessories
to satisfy my changing moods. On one side of this cowl there is an ordered in a grid, and the other with moving lines and lattice. This design creates a perfectly reversable fabric, creating an accessory that has no wrong side.

The Gemelli Cowl is worked back and forth using two different colors at the same time, and is then seamed together to create it’s tube shape. The alternating rows working on different levels create a double sided fabric. This pattern is worked where very little tails will have to be woven in, which means you will never break your yarn until you are finished! You will use two lockable stitch markers to hold your live yarn to keep your work from unravelling while you work with the opposite color.

The Gemelli Cowl requires just 2 skeins of Urth Monokrom DK in contrasting colors.
