Genevieve was designed for a young lady of the same name: the daughter of Jasmin from the Knitmore Girls podcast! Many thanks to my local girl, Story, for her expert modeling skills.

Genevieve features a snowflake made of pre-strung size 6/0 seed beads. The garter stitch bottom is worked flat and joined together using a three needle bind off. Stitches are then picked up around the top of the hat and the crown is decreased out. If you don’t see your size, Genevieve is very simple to adjust! Come on by my forum and we’ll help you out.

Here is a quick tutorial on how to purl into the row below without leaving a float.

This pattern also makes a crown when the top of the hat is omitted. Just follow the instructions through the three-needle bind-off and then wear upside down!
