In Japan, the Genkan is a space where you take off your shoes upon entering a home. Just above the Genkan, a pair of indoor shoes await your use. Simple, comfortable and unisex, the Genkan Slipper was designed with this custom in mind. The shoe is knit from the sole up without seams, both flat and in the round. It is felted to size in a washing machine.
