When there is a gentle breeze on the sea, the surface of the water looks very similar to this stitch pattern, calm lines interrupted by little ripples. And the ripples continue towards the horizon ….

You can choose your toe; instructions are given for rounded toes and for anatomically correct toes.

The simple broken rib pattern on the instep makes this sock the perfect unisex pattern for gift knitting. An optional band of ribbing on the center of the sole provides for better fit, which might come in handy when you cannot let the recipient try on the sock.

This sock has an alternative heel construction, with the sole and the heel turn worked in rows before resuming the gusset/leg part in rounds. The simple broken rib pattern established on the instep flows into the leg, the gusset stitches are decreased on the back of the leg.

The stitch pattern of the sock flows seamlessly into the cuff. You can use a fancy picot-BO for a more feminine touch.
