This is a simple pattern of stocking stitch and yarn overs. It would suit a skein with long colour changes. I designed it in order to use up lots of small balls of different colours, so there were lots of ends to sew in. I chose a large needle size for fingering weight yarn on purpose, to keep the fabric thin, as it is double thickness when finished. The wrong sides are hidden, along with all the woven in ends.
Mine is made with hand spun Polwarth, lovely soft fleece and very light. The scarf came out a long narrow crescent shape that hangs well around the neck, nice for spring. You could make it with thicker yarn on a bigger needle and have a heavier winter scarf.
