As the days begin to take on a slight chill my mind turns to warm accessories and peaceful thoughts. This is a great project to watching your favorite movie or show. The garter sections provide a restful crafting while the leaves add a bit of spice. The scarf is knit sideways with garter and simple short-row leaves. There are a couple ways to make the leaf sections so each scarf can be individualized. If you have a luxury yarn you’ve been saving, this would be a great way to use it.

Alternate version with “leaves” instead of “waves” can be found here - Mabon Leaves Scarf.

You will need:

  • MC should be semi-solid or solid. It will also work with a light variegated or speckled yarn.
  • CC can be solid, semi-solid, tonal, lightly variegated, or gradient (or, individual mini-skeins). Each CC section seems to be using about 8-9 gm yarn.
  • Multiple stitch markers
  • Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Blocked sizes are 6.5” (16.5 cm) wide and 60”, 64”, 68”, 72” (152.5, 162.5, 172.75, 182.9 cm) long.
