This is a very stretchy hat which will fit a 24 in head quite comfortably with room to spare. At this length, the brim can be folded for a double thickness over the ears. Because of the ribbing, it will also fit a size down (22 in).

The offset rib pattern is based on a sock from Weldon’s Volume 16, published in 1901.
