Geometria means Geometry in Latin.

I just love lace knitting, I love shawls, that is why I have thought of this pattern. I love the geometric and symmetrical shapes, triangles and diamonds. When I knit classic shawls, I often have to pull myself through the first part, longing for the fun of the lace edges. This shawl is worked from bottom up instead starting with the lace edging. The shawl is constructed by two symmetrical sides, mirrored over a center decrease. To get a longer and not so high shawl, the decreasing’s are worked on every row at sides and only every 2nd row in the center. This makes for a four stitch decrease on every right side row and two stitch decrease on wrong side rows together with a two stitch garter stitch edging.

Pattern has two different versions and two different sizes, a full lace shawlette/shawl and stockinette stitch body shawlette/shawl with lace edging.

I hope you will enjoy.

Happy knitting.
