This lovely and delicate lace stole is perfect to deflect the summer air conditioning. It features both an unusual lace focal stitch and a favorite of the Shetland edgings. It is made in a single piece by changing directions as you knit, so no need for the kitchener stitch.

Because it is made with fingering weight yarn and is not quite as large as most shawls, I think you’ll find it a very wearable asset to your wardrobe, and will certainly show off your knitting prowess.

The finished stole measures 18 1/2 inches by 74 inches.

Skill Level: Intermediate + (assuming a good working knowledge of lace knitting).

The yarn used in the sample is Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock yarn in the colorway, Georgetown.

The wrap was expertly pattern tested by Deb Terrio, who can be contacted at: jstdt3t@gmail..com
