Using TOFT’s luxury British wool, Georgina the Hippo is a quick and rewarding make. Only the finest fleeces are selected for this British wool blend, which makes using it a real pleasure.

Yarn: TOFT DK Wool - 100g (we recommend ‘stone’ or ‘mushroom’)

Hook: 3mm Crochet Hook

Notions: A handful of toy stuffing, tapestry needle, black wool for the eyes, and some scrap yarn to use as a stitch marker.

Gauge: 6 sts x 7 rows in 3cm x 3cm

Finished measurements: 18cm when in the sitting position

Techniques used: British double crochet stitch

Note: To finish your hippo’s face you may find this video useful which shows how to gather a large number of stitches in order to create a blunt finish
