When you finish this crochet project, Geraldine the giraffe (inspired by the TV show “64 Zoo Lane”) will be about 9” tall, 3.5” wide, and 5” long.

Required Skills:

• Changing yarn colors

• Create a magic circle (or magic ring)

• Crocheting in a round

• Crocheting in front loops and back loops

• Decrease stitches (invisible decreasing is used for this project)

• Double Crochet

• Embroidering

• Half Double crochet

• Increase stitches

• Sewing pieces together to form the doll

• Single crochet

Materials Needed for this Project:

• Size G/7 or 4.25mm Crochet Hook

• Size E/5 or 3.50mm Crochet Hook (for eyes, ears, horns, tail, and spots)

• Yarn Needle

• Stitch Marker

• Scissors

• Polyester Fiberfill

• Very Fine Black Yarn for eyes, eyelashes, nose, and mouth

• Worsted Weight Yarn (I used Red Heart Super Saver Solids—1 skein for each color)
o Bright Yellow for head, neck, body, legs, ears, horns, and tail
o Blue for legs and spots
o Turqua for legs and spots
o White for eyes
