This giant knit cowl is circular knit with roving, and is an awesome accessory for chilly winter days! It is also a ridiculously quick project, so it makes a great Christmas gift. It’s very customizable - cast on more stitches for a wider cowl, or knit more rows for a taller cowl!

This is knit with roving, but would work well with double stranded super bulky yarn as well. This is not an exact science, so as long as you have a similar gauge, you will have a similar end product -- but if you don’t have similar gauge, I’m sure your cowl will still be awesome!

I used three skeins of Knitpick’s roving, each divided into 4 strands for best gauge. This roughly equaled 50 yards.
