This pattern was created as a knit-a-long for beginner’s creating a group gift for a coworker’s baby. As such the resulting blanket may not be perfect, but full of fun and an easy introduction to knitting, increases and decreases.

The blanket is constructed by bias-knitting individual squares (knitting diagonally by increasing until the middle, than decreasing to the opposite corner from cast on). The color is changed halfway through allowing for the arrangement of squares to achieve a variety of patterns: chevron stripes, diagonal striping, or diamonds.
