Gift cards are great presents, especially when you’re not sure what to get someone. But, why settle with presenting them in a plain paper sleeve when you can really dress them up. This year, impress your friends and family with cozies for their gift cards. Knit in the round, they are quick to make, are a great use for leftover sock yarn, and come in four different styles: plain stockinette, garter rib, mock cables, and a simple lace panel.

Materials

Needles: US 3: two circular for knitting in the round, and one extra needle for the 3-needle bind off.

Yarn: One 50 gram skein of fingering weight yarn. Knit Picks Kettle Dyed sock yarn was used in the sample.

Gauge: 7 sts per inch in stockinette stitch with US 3 needles.

This is a great project for using leftover bits of sock yarn. One cozy uses about 15 yards of sock yarn. To make a set of four would require about 60 yards of yarn. You can make about 15 cozies from one 50 gram ball of yarn.
