Anyone who has lived in Canada, and particularly the prairies, has seen Gigi!
Well, it may have been one of the numerous family members that you have set eyes on, but there is no doubt that this sweet critter inhabits a great deal of the country.
Gigi, herself, is ready to party. She has her best maple leaf bandana on her neck and in the mood to enjoy the birthday celebrations July 1st.
Gigi is knit in Sock yarn and the color Copper Colours is a perfect match to her silky coat.
This design is knit in one piece from the bottom to the nose. Use of short rows enable us to create the curved neck and head. The limbs and the ears are sewn on later.. as is the so-important tail. Without her tail, Gigi will have no balance. A lady has to be sure footed and the image that she is tipsy is not what Gigi wants on such a special day!
Full written instructions are given in the pdf for the creation of this adorable animal.
A unique native animal that deserves recognition. Enjoy!
