Gilda Scarf
by Zena Thomson
Taken from the introduction to this beautiful traditional Shetland lace scarf -
“Adapted and knitted by Zena Thomson. This scarf is in memory of Gilda Johnson from Unst, and expert spinner and lace knitter, who was a guild member for several years. Following Gilda’s sudden death, her mother donated some of Gilda’s lace knitting patterns to Shetland Guild of Spinners, Knitters, Weavers and Dyers for them to use. Zena Thomson has adapted one of these for this scarf.”
Full instructions including finishing instructions are all included in the book.
