Nicky Epstein, knitting designer extraordinaire, generously agreed to design this pattern for Gilda’s Club, an organization named in memory of comedian Gilda Radner, who died from ovarian cancer in 1989. Gilda’s Club is a network of affiliate clubhouses throughout the US and Canada where “members” – men, women and children living with cancer, as well as friends and families – learn how to live with cancer.

Please enjoy this pattern; you and your knitting group may wish to consider knitting some of these (or other) chemotherapy caps to contribute to your local Gilda’s club or other cancer support organization.
