This is the first in a series of 24 linked patterns, published daily in December 2014, to decorate a knitted Gingerbread House. The pattern for the house itself is published separately.

The front porch is constructed around plastic canvas as the house was, and then sewn in place on one of the end walls. You will need small pieces of the plastic canvas used for the house and some more of the ginger and cream DK yarn. This pattern includes notes on sewing the decorations to the house which will be useful for the rest of the patterns.

All my ravelry patterns are free to download but, if you enjoy them, please consider making a donation to the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation, a charity which funds research and supports the families of children with a liver disease. You can do this easily by going to my fundraising page www.justgiving.com/frankiesknittedstuff

Happy Knitting!
