These quick, cheerful gift card holders are an easy project that are a great stashbuster. Worked in the round using stranded knitting, they can be completed within a few hours and give a special touch when presenting gift cards. The holder is closed with a small button, sewn to the inside and held in place by the I-cord edging along the top edge.

Yarn

Use 2 contrasting colors of cotton DK weight yarn to make the plaid design. Samples shown were worked with:

  • MC = CotLin Dk Moroccan Red and CC = CotLin Snow White
  • MC = CotLin Black and CC = CotLin Snow White
  • MC = CotLin Moroccan Red and CC = CotLin Black

Needles:

  • US #4 circular, one 24” or longer circular needle to work as Magic Loop or 3 DPNs.
