The Gingham to Me Baby Scarf is a modern twist on a classic checkered plaid. This scarf is a warm and cozy essential for your fall and winter wardrobe. This pattern would be great for beginners interested in color work as well as experienced knitters.

This scarf is worked flat in Stockinette Stitch using intarsia color work. Once the scarf is finished you will seam it into a tube to complete this project. Row 1 in the pattern begins after the first 3 rows of Garter Stitch. Your working yarn is always held double with colors written as “(main color/contrast color)” throughout. Charts A and B are found on pages 4-5 as visual aids and detail the 1st and 2nd half of the scarf. Checkered areas on the charts represent marled(two-toned) sections of color and do not imply alternating colors every other stitch.
