When I had done the giraffe beanie I longed for the matching fingerless mitts.

They are knitted in 4-ply sock yarn. So it’s a cheap, warm pair of mitts, too. ;-)

And they are so lovely.
As there is a thumb gore they fit really nicely.
They fit size S/M (they fit my smaller hands but also the hands of my mother that are a bit bigger - they fit about 20 - 21 cm hand circumreference).

The thumb is worked the same on both sides (in a kind of steek pattern) and at the same position as you knit the second mitt mirror image like to the first (you start with the palm instead of the bridge).

Although it looks complicated it was a real quick knit.

The written instruction includes thumb, bridge and palm chart.
It’s available in English.
If anyone is interested in a German translation, please send me a message and I’ll put it online as soon as possible.

Enjoy!
