I was inspired to create this shawl after seeing a beautiful but mysterious store sample the Interlacements yarn representative left at The Knitting Tree, LA. After hours of searching for the pattern we all gave up, and I designed this 3/4 pie shawl that opens to be a cape. The lace at the bottom of the shawl reminded me of a Girls’ Night Wine Scallop Shell, hence the name. This cape is knitted from the bottom up with optional crochet edging.

Pattern should read repeat rows 1-4 in stockinette section until desired number of decreases reached. There are no decreases at the side edges, only at the markers.
