This started out as a traditional diagonal garter but then I wanted to get creative with a bone motif. My first stab at an original written pattern for someone other than myself. Please let me know if you find any errors or find anything confusing or unclear. Thank you! Enjoy!

I have included a chart that I made below the pattern just for pictorial reference (it does not have traditional symbols to be directions, but if you know how to read a chart, it should be fairly easy to figure out.)

Finished size: 21”X 20”
This blanket was rather small for a very small puppy, you can make it larger by using a heavier weight yarn and bigger needle. I think any acrylic or cotton yarn will do – some dogs are allergic to wool, so I would avoid using wool blends.

I created this pattern so I could make a quick blanket to donate to a rescue that my sister fosters for. Please consider making one for a shelter dog and donating it to your local shelter or rescue. Thank you!
