Gladden Shawlette is a beautiful combination of lace and smocking, fashioned into a crescent shape. This pattern was specially designed to benefit a nonprofit organization, something that we do in the Tinyknitters Group on Ravelry every year. Members of our group nominate and vote on charities, and then a pattern is designed and dedicated to the winner. 100% of the proceeds from sales of Gladden Shawlette will be donated to Gracie’s Gowns, a charity that makes custom hospital gowns for children with life threatening conditions. Please visit their website to learn more about the wonderful work they do:

Our donation to Gracie’s Gowns through 2017 is $155.16! The receipt photos follow the shawl photos on the left. Hope to have many more for them over the next few years!

There will be a KAL here starting on July 11. Please join us for the fun of it - and also to ask any questions about the pattern or Gracie’s Gowns. One of our group has done some projects for them :) We will also post a coupon code for 50% off for the first week of the KAL!
