For my first pattern, I came up with this really simple cabled pattern for fingerless gloves knit flat. It’s easy to modify this pattern to knit in the round, as well.

Basically, this is a great project for anyone, from the beginner who is trying out her/his first cabled project to the advanced knitter who wants something that is simple and quick, but still interesting. This pattern is set up to be knit flat, but can easily be modified to be knit in the round. As-is, the pattern should fit most sizes.
