Glendale is a modern block stripe pullover where the contrasting stripe across the chest is continued as an underarm stripe on the sleeve, running from the armpit down to just above the cuff.

This design is worked with a modified drop shoulder construction where the body pieces are worked from the bottom up and joined at the shoulders. The sleeves are then worked flat, from the top down with stitches picked up along the armhole edge. The vertical underarm stripe is worked in the intarsia method.

The lightweight alpaca blend of Rowan’s Felted Tweed knits up as DK weight and has a rustic, felted texture, ideally suited for intarsia knitting.
