This blanket is comprised of a garter stitch center square with an eyelet border, and a second outer lace border which is knit separately and attached to the center square/eyelet border using a three-needle bind off. The corners of the outer lace border pattern are worked in a series of short row segments that wrap around the corners creating a fluid flow of lace around the outside perimeter of the blanket. Two pairs of size 32” US #5 needles are needed to create the center square and separate outer lace border. A size US #7 straight needle is used for the three-needle bind off. Adjust needle size to fit yarn weight as necessary so that a loose, draping quality is achieved. Swatching is strongly suggested.
