A great project for using up sock yarn, the Godric Cowl requires approximately 410 yards of a main color (MC) and 100 yards each of three contrasting colorways (CC).
It is worked by first casting on stitches with a provisional cast on, and knitting entirely in the round following color charts. The end of your knitting is then grafted to the cast on stitches using the Kitchener Stitch.
The cowl measures to 6.5” wide and 50” in circumference/length.
Please note that the pattern requires basic knowledge of chart-reading (line by line instructions are not provided) as well as techniques for a provisional cast on & grafting stitches via the Kitchener Stitch.
