Golden Wheat is a luscious way to keep winter chills at bay. This gorgeous two-color shawl, knit in 6-ply Cashmere by The Plucky Knitter, or your favorite DK weight yarn, is the perfect shoulder topper. The shawl is worked from the striped main body down to a deep lace section and then finished with a second lace border. Here is the perfect special occasion accessory to knit for yourself, or perhaps to give as an extraordinary gift.
Shawl is worked back and forth from the center top out, increasing by 4 stitches every RS row.
Edge increases are worked as yarn-overs on RS rows—immediately after the first 3 stitches, and before the last 3 stitches of every row.
Center increases are worked as directional Make one stitches (M1R and M1L) on either side of the center spine stitch on RS rows only.
The first and last stitches of every row are worked in garter stitch (knit on both RS and WS rows).

Finished size:
22 1/2” / 57 cm length at center spine
51” / 130 cm width across top edge (after blocking)
