Transitions is an asymmetrical shawl with an icord border on each side. It finishes with a fun sideways cable bind off in beaded silk and sequence. It will be as much fun to wear as it is to knit.

Here in our neck of the woods, the goldenrod begin to appear in August. Their golden colorway is a delight to see in the big open fields. The honey bees enjoy the sweet nectar which will later provide a lovely spicy honey.

The appearance of the goldenrod is also a sign that summer will end soon and our carefree long days will soon shorten. This shawl was inspired by the time of year with the beautiful goldenrods which in many ways is a metaphor for the transitions and changes in our own life.
I hope you will enjoy knitting this shawl and wearing it as much as I do.
