Urban legend has it that a goldfish has a memory or attention span (I’ve heard both) of about 3 seconds, or the time it takes to swim around its bowl. I can be like this, and at those times, I just want a nice big knitting project that will keep me occupied while letting me watch bad eighties airplane movies on Youtube. In fact, I just saw a great one starring Cheryl Ladd. I can tell: you guys are jealous!
Slipped stitches, little garter stripes, bigger garter stripes, simple lace, stockinette stripes, that’s what you’ll find here.
Color Guide If you look at the top photo, lace at the end is CC1 (Pinky Swear), the white in the stripes is CC3 (Typewriter), and the gray sections are CC2.
This is a parallelogram and is knit on the bias (see schematic at left.) You need 3 skeins of fingering weight yarn, 400 yards each. I advise a very light skein, a bright or bolder skein, and something in between. If the colors are too similar the slipped stitches won’t show up. If you’d like to discuss color options, etc. you can do so in the thread in my Ravelry Group. Bonus for anyone who discusses airplane movies or Airliners.net posts!
This is a parallelogram (see schematic)
Approximately 76” long by 17” deep

To see colors used in the other photos, click and see how they used a variety of yarns to make them unique. This is a great pattern for a variegated yarn!
