Largest of the frog species found on earth, this amphibian grows up to be 12” in length and weighs up to 7 lbs.

Goliath Frog has a body that is knit flat in 2 pieces (top and bottom), then seamed together. Work for each piece begins at the mouth and continues to the end of the body.

Arms and legs are worked directly from openings left while seaming, knit flat, until the end when stitches are joined in the round. The finished frog is no tadpole - measuring 17” long and 7” wide.

Learn more about this wonderful animal and 24 others when you read the pages of a naturalist as she travels the world, documenting the animals she sees, and designing knitting patterns for each one. This book was a collaboration with my children who did the artwork.
