The Good Day Sweater is a pullover inspired by my popular Good Day Tee pattern. The design is a modular knit worked in pieces. The sweater is knit in garter stitch throughout featuring stripes on the front sides and back pieces. It features a fun, angled front lower hem. The front and back center panels are first worked flat, then stitches are picked up on the edges and the side panels are worked outward with some simple shaping and striped rows of color. The front and back pieces are seamed and then the sleeves are picked up and worked outward from the body in the round. With the simple garter stitch and minimal finishing this is a great beginner garment! Knit up in Retrosaria’s Joao yarn, a rustic sport weight yarn in gorgeous earthy shades. I named this design as a reminder to the pessimist side of me that it’s always a good day for a good day!
