Goose & Goslings

Knitting
May 2014
Aran (8 wpi) ?
20 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches
in St st
US 6 - 4.0 mm
104 yards (95 m)
Goose is 10" tall; goslings are about 7" tall

Yardage is for one goose, one gosling. Each gosling uses about 38.5 yds.

For all of the worsted weight toys in this book, I used a gauge of 20 sts and 24 rows = 4″ in stockinet stitch, which I achieved with US size 6 needles. For Cotton Fleece and Serendipity Tweed, I went down two sizes in needles, resulting in a different gauge, but producing a dense fabric suitable for knitted toys. It is extremely important, whatever yarn you are using, to produce a firm, dense fabric.
