This blanket pattern is perfect for a beginner or an advanced knitter. It is a great project that doesn’t take much concentration and is a wonderful travel knit.

I suggest using fun colorful yarn or even hand spun yarn for this project. The detail is really in the yarn color you choose. Using colors you really enjoy looking at keep this project fresh and knew every time you sit down to work on it. It is easy to adjust the size of this blanket. I have included a formula in the written pattern to help you calculate how many stitches you need to increase or decrease to adjust the overall size.

This pattern would work well for a baby blanket. I made it for my 7 year old. It is the perfect size for him to wrap around himself and walk around without dragging it on the floor! The Garter stitch is such a comfortable stitch to drape over you as a blanket.

I hope you enjoy making this as much as I did! I can’t wait to see your finished blankets!!!

NOTE: This pattern was not test knitted.
