After loading up your skis, gear, and friends into the car and driving up Highway 26, Government Camp is the last stop before hitting the slopes. The gateway to skiing and outdoor recreation on Mount Hood in the Cascade mountain range, Government Camp was always the place my family stopped and got ourselves properly suited up so we were prepared to ski or sled. This beanie can be the perfect piece to keep you warm and cozy— whether you prefer outdoor pursuits or sipping cocoa in the lodge.

The single color Latvian-style braid allows for a lot of opportunity for experimenting with color and making use of your DK weight mini skeins or leftovers. Choose to make your stripes all different colors, or you could opt for a simpler, two-color version.
