A cozy, snug fitting cowl designed to be worn open at the shoulder or front. Top of side edges can be held together with a clasp or button, or seamed closed, and still stretch easily over the head. Luscious super bulky yarn worked in a dense stitch provides warm protection from winter’s chill while a large hook creates a deceptively light weight fabric.

“I recalled the way the armor seemed to flow from head to neck to shoulders, like a mantle or a monk’s cowl, but close, protective. Thick. And an image began to form in my head about that sort of thing in wool.” - The Secret Stitch by C. Jane Reid
