This is a simple jumper with a button placket. It’s worked mainly in stocking stitch with garter stitch hems and collar. It has short row shaping for the shoulders and drop sleeves. The Dorset button instructions are included in the pattern.

Tension 18 sts x 26 rows over a 10 x 10cm square, Beaker Button Bountiful DK (6 x 100g/225m) skeins, 4.5mm needles, waste yarn, yarn needle for sewing up, small stitch holder. 4 Dorset buttons, instruction below. I used a contrasting thread for my buttons. You will need 4 brass rings, 1.5cm across and 6m of 4ply thread. You will also need a blunt needle.
