The inspiration for these facecloths comes from vintage, two-needle knitted lace medallion patterns that were popular with knitters in the late 1800s and early 1900s. These facecloths are knitted on two needles using a provisional cast-on; wedges are then knitted in garter stitch, using short-row knitting to complete the fabric of the cloths. They are finished with a Kitchener stitched seam that disappears into the fabric when completed.
